This is the complete list of items they will check: The inspection itself doesn’t take more than 10-15 minutes. The inspector will also open and close your doors, adjust your front seats and test the seat belts. Mostly, you’ll have to turn on and off headlights, signal, honk, step on the brake, etc. So what are the inspectors looking for when they check your vehicle? First, they’ll ask you for the year, make and model of your vehicle. In certain areas and cities, Uber pays a cash bonus when you get your first car inspection. When you bring your car to an Uber Activation Center, they’ll inspect it at no cost and usually pretty quickly while you’re waiting. See the list of different options to get your Uber vehicle inspection done above. Here’s some basic info first regarding your upcoming Dallas 75243 Uber vehicle inspection: Uber has car inspection stations set up in most cities where Uber operates. Please don't take this as a wholly negative post. Perhaps when surge vanishes outside of special events the base rates will be raised to raise the profit margin above the razor thin margins that they are currently at. Unfortunately, as they recruit to fill the gaps in service for these areas - the areas that are already well established are becoming more saturated with drivers. These areas appear to surge very randomly but more frequently than what one would think the local hotspots are. I personally don't think the raw number of drivers is the problem, so much as Uber operations is trying to improve driver availability in certain areas (South Dallas Garland Denton, East Fort Worth). While I'm sure we are a long ways away from 20,000 drivers, I wouldn't be surprised if we were more than half the distance to 10k from the 5k mark back in January. From what I've seen, Uber has really been making a huge push in driver recruiting in the DFW area - especially over the past 2 months (although maybe it's just more visible to me since I started driving).
